Donovan Allen is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern at Linking the Gap Counseling in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he is completing his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (MA-CMHC) at Northwestern University. Practicing under supervision, Donovan provides counseling for adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, stress, relationship concerns, identity exploration, body image, and eating disorders.

Many of the individuals Donovan works with are feeling overwhelmed by major life changes, uncertainty, or the pressure to meet expectations while balancing work, relationships, family, or personal goals. He enjoys helping clients better understand themselves, strengthen coping skills, and move toward meaningful, lasting change with greater confidence and self-compassion.

As a bilingual therapist offering counseling in both English and Spanish, Donovan is passionate about providing culturally responsive care for individuals from diverse backgrounds. He brings a warm, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to therapy, integrating evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while creating a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow.
